Date Night

Last night Zomb and I had a date night! We went to Yard House for a delicious dinner and some drinks. We try to make a point of having frequent date nights to keep us from getting too boring and monotonous.

I especially love date nights because it gives me a chance to wear new shoes!!! Last night was no different. I wore my Guess black platform pumps! I actually purchased these awhile back but I never got around to wearing them until last night. For having such a high heel they were remarkably comfortable, gotta love that cute and comfy! Speaking of that heel I had no idea they were so tall! I am 5'9 and Zombie is 6'7 so I never have to worry about shoes making me taller than him. Last night I put the shoes on and Zomb was quick to point out that I was super tall! So I measured my shoes they have a 5 1/2" heel on them wowsa! I don't mind being super tall, I'm used to being taller than most girls and I am also taller than most guys when I am in heels but it doesn't bother me. Take a look at these beauties I sure do love them :)

We have been to Yard House before but usually just to meet friends for drinks. The food was superb! We started with a spinach cheese dip and it was good! I had Crab Crusted Swordfish. Yum Yum Yum! It was so good I can't wait to go back and have it again! Mr. Z had a 14oz. New York Steak and he said it was delicious. I  did not try his as I am not a big fan of red meat. I eat it but I don't prefer it. Next time we will skip the appetizer because it was way too much food, I ended up taking home over half of my meal and all of Z's green beans! Although three beers significantly contributed to my fullness! I had my all time favorite pyramid hefeweizen with a lemon of course! If you have never had this beer I recommend it! I also tried a seasonal beer, Warsteiner Oktoberfest , it was pretty good. Zomb had a few of his favorite drink Jack & Coke. Later we went to Millers Ale House and caught the end of the double overtime USC vs. Stanford game where I sampled the Samuel Adams Oktoberfest it was my least favorite of the night and I will not be having that again.

Overall a fantastic evening out! Now I have loads of homework to do. Not Fun! I have to hide my books so I am not tempted to read them. :( Tuesday night I will be able to get in a little reading hopefully! Once the semester ends I will have roughly a month to indulge in as many books as possible before embarking on my last semester of college EVER!

Later lovelies,
Heather
